Soft Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

You have found it! A soft chocolate chip cookie recipe. What tastes better than delicious, chewy chocolate chip cookies?

This recipe has no eggs, which means you can eat the batter! But then you'll end up with less cookies. You might not care though because you'll be full of cookie dough.

  • butter (1 cup)
  • brown sugar (1 cup, firmly packed)
  • white sugar (1/2 cup)
  • vanilla (2 tsp)
  • maple syrup (2 tbsp)
  • water (4 tbsp)
  • baking soda (just slightly less than 1 tsp)
  • flour (2 1/2 cups)
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 bag)

  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon on to ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8+ minutes. Check at 8 minutes; ovens will vary. Large cookies may need slightly longer than 8 minutes.
  8. Cool for a couple of minutes and remove from baking sheets.
  9. Eat more than one!

You know what makes these cookies even more delicious? Instead of just using semi-sweet chips, use one-third white chocolate, one-third milk chocolate, and one-third semi-sweet chocolate chips. Seriously delicious! And you just might be touted as making the best chocolate chip cookies ever!

Cookies are great little party favors! When they have cooled completely, stack three or four and seal them in a cellophane bag with pretty ribbon. You could add a little thank you card too. Or buy some small snack boxes from a craft store and stick a thank you label on top. Why not include the recipe too?
